History:   We met at my sisters wedding in April 2005. He was the Best Man and I was Maid of Honour. It took us 6 months to start dating but a long distance relationship wasn’t easy (he lived in Sydney) so a few months later he moved to Canberra to be with me.

Proposal: Rod took me on my first ever plane ride, to Melbourne, and proposed during our stay there.

Wedding theme: Aqua, silver and white. The Bridesmaids dresses were aqua and everything from the cake to the reception decorations tied in with the theme.

Preparation: 18 months to plan

Ron was an amazing help, a few days before the wedding I still had not finalised my ceremony music and Ron took the time to sit down and assist me in choosing songs. Ron was great on the day and added a sense of humour to it all. The guests all had a good laugh at various stages.

The Ainslie Football Club went beyond our expectations on the night. The food was mouth watering and guests still talk about how good it was. In assistance with The Decorating Man the Ainslie did everything for us – setting up the place card’s and bomboniere’s and organized a food platter for the bridal party on arrival.

Angelic Inspirations was all I could ask for. The girls suggested dresses that I would never have considered and the 1st one they suggested was my ‘dream’ dress. The fit was almost perfect and the girls were great with the alterations.

Fancy That Confectionary made the most delicious chocolate hearts which all the guests enjoyed. (A few extra even needed to be handed out as some guests had theirs mysteriously disappear.)

The Flower Man did such a beautiful job with the flowers, they looked amazing on the day and show up beautifully in photographs. The florist recommended some fantastic ways of saving money.

The cakes at Cakes of Your Dreams are awe-inspiring. There were so many cakes and flavours to choose from but Susan was great in assisting us to choose the perfect cake. The final product was beautiful and tasted delicious.

Fine Photography assisted me in every step of the way of our wedding planning. Steve was able to answer all of my questions and suggested great ideas for the location shots. Steve had a very calming presence on the day and it was very relaxing. We will cherish the photos for the rest of lives and highly recommend them to anyone.

I would highly recommend Suzy and Linda from Airbrush Make-up for any special occasion.  They arrived early on the day to set up, brought all the products needed with them and took the stress away of having to go outside my home.  They did a fantastic job of applying the make up for my bridesmaids, my mum and myself; and knew how  to bring out each persons individual features and what suited them best.  I would consider them very affordable and value for money compared to the competitors.
